The Towns Around Allen Where a Mold Test Can Be Booked
A mold sampling visit is available in Allen and in every one of the towns listed here, and each town is given with its distance from Allen, nearest first. Read down the list until you find yours, and you know at a glance where you sit in the ring and how far the visit travels to reach you.
The distance is the straight measure out from Allen and it decides nothing about the test itself. The air and surface samples taken in Fairview at the near end of the list are the ones taken in Argyle at the far end, and the same accredited lab reads both.
If your town is on the list, the visit is available, and one call books it. If it is not, the last question on this page is for you.

Every town in the ring, nearest first, with its distance from Allen in miles.

The Same Visit Happens in Every Town on the List
Every one of the towns on the list gets the same visit: a moisture-led walk-through, samples where the readings point, and an accredited lab reading them. Nothing about the sampling changes with the address, and no mold sample is dropped because the drive was longer.
The walk-through is the one DFW Mold Testing runs in Allen, TX, and the page on the mold inspection in an Allen home sets out room by room what it covers.
These are the four parts of the visit, in the order they happen, wherever the address is.
-
1
Moisture-led walk-through
We meter the walls, floors and ceilings where water has been and note any growth or staining before a single cassette is opened.
-
2
Samples where the readings point
Air cassettes run in the rooms the walk-through singled out, with an outdoor sample as the baseline, and any visible growth gets a tape lift or a swab.
-
3
Accredited third-party lab
The air, wipe and bulk samples go to an accredited third-party laboratory rather than being read in-house, whatever town they came from.
-
4
Written report
The lab's counts come back as a written report that interprets the measured concentrations, and we go through it with you by phone.
Four Nearby Towns Have a Page of Their Own
McKinney, Frisco, Richardson and Wylie each have a page of their own on this site, because there is enough local detail about mold testing in each of those towns to be worth writing down: the housing, the water that gets into it, and what a visit there tends to turn up.
Homeowners in McKinney, TX are the nearest of the four to us, and the page on mold testing in a McKinney home is written for them.
-
McKinney
The nearest of the four, and the first of the towns to get its own page.
-
Frisco
Its own page covers the newer housing there and the water problems that come with it.
-
Richardson
Its own page covers the older housing there and what a visit tends to find.
-
Wylie
Its own page covers the lakeside setting and the moisture a visit there checks first.
The other towns on the list share this page, and the visit in each of them is booked and run the same way. Having its own page changes what we have written about a town, not whether we come out to it.

Distance Changes the Scheduling, Not the Sampling
A town farther out changes when the visit is fitted in, not how the samples are taken or which lab reads them. Scheduling is the one thing the miles touch: an address at the far end of the list is booked around the other visits that day, so the slot may come a day later than one in Allen would.
The sampling does not move. The same calibrated, professional-grade equipment travels to every one of the towns on the list, a store-bought kit never stands in for it because the drive is long, and the same accredited lab reads every mold sample. Tell us the town on the call and we will tell you the first slot we can give it.
Nothing else changes with the miles either. The inspection covers the same rooms, the outdoor baseline is still taken, and the report reads the way it would in Allen. What you gain by being close to us is a quicker slot, and what you give up by being farther out is a day or two of scheduling, not any part of the test.
Is a town off the list out of reach?
Not by default. A town off the list is a question for the call rather than a no, because the ring is drawn around Allen and not at a hard edge. The list above is where a mold sampling visit is on offer without asking; a town just past it may still be reachable on a given day.
The ring is measured from Allen, so a town just past the last entry is often no farther than one already on it. Call, name the town, and we answer straight, the way we do for the towns already on the list.
Does the report differ by town?
No. The report is the same document wherever the sample was taken, because the same accredited third-party lab reads every sample and writes up the measured concentrations the same way.
Mold test results from an Allen, TX property and from any of the towns on the list read alike, and the page on the lab report shows what each column means. The same lab counts and names what is on each cassette and lift, and the report we walk you through by phone reads the same in every one of the towns we go to.
